EY Foundation welcomes new Youth Advisory Board

Fourteen board members travelled from across the UK (with two joining virtually) to meet face-to-face for their YAB induction.

The EY Foundation finished January by welcoming the new Youth Advisory Board to their Induction at our London Bridge office.

Fourteen board members travelled from across the UK (with two joining virtually) to meet face-to-face for the first time. The day included interactive sessions from trustees, members of the EY Foundation team, previous YAB members, and external speakers.

Sessions covered a range of topics from the role of a board and diversity of thought to how members will make their mark and where the group sat on the Insights Discovery colour wheel.

Members shared what they want to achieve over their tenure – discussing how best to target employment support, the importance of collaboration, being ambassadors for the EY Foundation, and promoting youth voice. Everyone drew on their varied experiences to contribute and their enthusiasm, ambition and vision was clear.

Over the next two years, the YAB will advise the EY Foundation, bringing a young person’s perspective to every area of our work. They will feedback on key plans, share their ideas, contribute to our programmes, and speak on our behalf – they will also be supported to identify and work on their own projects and passions related to the EY Foundation.

You can learn more about their roles and responsibilities here and meet the current members here.

We know they will be key to effectively delivering our mission and we’re excited to collaborate with them to ensure that young people are at the head and heart of all we do.
