Our Trustees support us in making strategic and policy decisions. The co-chairs of our Youth Advisory Board also sit on the Board as Young Trustees.

Edel Harris (Chair)

Edel served as the CEO of Mencap from 2019-2023. Prior to this, she spent eleven years as the CEO of Cornerstone Community Care. Edel previously served as the Chair of The Life Changes Trust and the Scottish Government’s Social Investment Fund.

Edel was the first woman to be President of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce from 2016-2018. Her other Non-Executive Director appointments include the National Care Group (2023-present), Robertson Trust (2018-2022), and Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust (2014-2019).

Edel was awarded an OBE in 2021 in recognition for her services to the public sector and charity.

Julianna Oladipo

Julianna is a Director at EY UK.  She has spent her career in the pensions industry, supporting employers and trustee boards with strategy, policy and governance of their pension arrangements.

Julianna works with both the EY UK&I and Financial Services leadership teams to lead on the strategic direction for pensions and, in 2018, spearheaded the launch of the new financial wellness proposition for all EY staff in the UK.

Julianna is passionate about racial and social equality and the need to create a level playing field where all young people can succeed and achieve their full potential.

Sarah Baugh

Sarah is currently the Head of Marketing at Professional Security based in Leeds. Sarah previously worked with the EY Foundation on our Secure Futures programme where she acted as an Employer Host and Mentor to the young people on the programme. Prior to Professional Security, Sarah worked at Dynamics Network Group as the Group Marketing Manager. She is a graduate of Leeds Trinity University.

Mark Hutchinson    

Mark is a former EY Partner, who retired from the firm in 2018, to focus on a portfolio career.  He has a long-held belief that business should be an agent for long-term economic development and social change. He is a Director of Truestone, a Social Impact Fund, focused on building SME businesses in West Africa. He works with Renewable Energy developers in Southern Africa and is also a board advisor and investor in a number of early and scale-up stage technology companies in the UK, through his own company, Muntjac Ventures.

As a mentor to a number of young people who have recently entered the workplace for the first time, he is a strong advocate for firms embracing diversity and creating equal opportunity for uniquely talented individuals, regardless of background.

Erol Mustafa

Erol has been an EY Partner since 2002, and is recognised for his breadth of experience in technology risk, governance and controls, and working with some of EY’s largest global financial services clients to leverage the power of technology, people and innovation whilst optimising risk.

Erol’s commitment to improving the opportunities for under-represented young people is long-standing, as an active alumni participant in his University social mobility “Access to Excellence” programmes, and as a Trustee Board Member for EngineeringUK, a charity whose mission is to enable more young people from all backgrounds to be informed, inspired and progress into engineering and technology. He is Partner Sponsor for two of the EY UK Race & Ethnicity Networks, and is known widely for his authentic leadership and commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

Rachel Sandby-Thomas

As Registrar at the University of Warwick, Rachel is responsible for the professional services of the University. Rachel joined Warwick after a long career in the Civil Service, the last 8 years of which were as a Director General in the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills where she covered legal, corporate services and policy (skills, regulation, large and small businesses, local growth). She joined the Civil Service as a lawyer from Linklaters.

She is Vice Chair of LEAP Confronting Conflict, and on the boards of Future Fit, the Warwick College Group, the Royal Society of Arts Academies, and is on the Executive Committee of AHUA. She is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and the City of London.

She is a Companion of the Order of the Bath, was named in the 2016 FTSE 100 “Women to Watch” and The Times 100 “Most Influential Lawyers”, 2012.

Sayeh Ghanbari

Sayeh leads EY’s Business Consulting team in the UK – a 1,200+ strong team of talented consultants that help their clients tackle their toughest challenges and deliver long term value for their stakeholders. She is also co-chair for Diversity and Inclusion for EY UK.

Sayeh is an advocate for equality of access to opportunities.  In addition to her Trustee role for the EY Foundation, she also sits on the Board of Women in Science and Engineering. She is a martial artist (Tiger Crane Kung Fu), science, maths and language geek, art lover and an amateur travel photographer.


Sally Bartolo

Sally manages a Youth Violence Intervention service within the Emergency Department at a London Major Trauma Centre. She is also a foster carer and sits on the advisory board for the London’s Violence Reduction Unit. 

Sally has over 15 years experience working on community investment projects and national social mobility programmes. She has held various leadership roles championing young people’s voices and influencing policy. Sally managed the Mayors Peer Outreach team and was the Co-Founding Director of the award winning The Tope Project. Sally has direct experience working at the EY Foundation and served as a Trustee for The Big House Theatre.  

Sally is a strong advocate for social justice. She is passionate about bridging the gap between businesses and the community and creating opportunities to inspire young people to meet their full potential.
