How do we work with employers?

We design and deliver innovative employability programmes that support young people to discover new industries, gain paid skills training and work experience, and access a professional mentor.

We will work with you to develop a bespoke programme, supporting your organisation to raise awareness of your business and build a pipeline of diverse young talent. Alternatively, join one of our existing multi-employer, sector programmes, where will support you to collaborate with other businesses on initiatives that connect your industry to underrepresented talent.

Across all of our activities, our expert team will provide tailored training and a fully managed service, enabling you to spend meaningful, structured time with young people from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

Every programme is closely evaluated, enabling employers to track the impact on the young people and your organisation in order to support your goals on talent, ESG and social impact. 

Please note all employers will be subject to an independence check, and UK audit clients of EY may be subject to some independence restrictions. We are also dedicated to safeguarding our young people and will provide training and DBS (where necessary) to those involved.

Through our programmes, and with our close relationships with employers and industry leaders, we gain a deep understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities they face in accelerating social inclusion. This year we have:

• Hosted a series of employer events: Our Roundtables and DEI Event series are great opportunities to network with others and share best practice across sectors. Recently, we have hosted 53 employers at roundtables including events with Youth Futures Foundation focused on AI & Skills, with Airbnb focused on social mobility in tourism and hospitality, and with EY and Financial Services leaders, as well as events across our hub locations to gain deeper insights on what employers need to drive social mobility across the country.
• Evolved our approach to insight generation: Insights enable us to better understand your organisational approach to social mobility and attracting diverse talent, ultimately allowing us to better support your organisation to achieve your strategic goals in these areas and reinforce the business case for social mobility.
