Reflections on Easter delivery

Acting CEO Lynne Peabody reflects on Easter programme delivery

I really want to pass on a huge thank you to all of our volunteers, partner organisations and EY Foundation team for their amazing, superhuman efforts over the last two weeks.

Together we completed the delivery of our busiest ever programme period…17 programmes, supporting 300 talented young people, aided by 22 buzzing corporate partners and 140 brilliant volunteers – wow! It’s a lot to say and it’s been a lot to deliver, but it was done brilliantly and I’m so proud of everything we’ve achieved.

It’s been lovely to see how everyone has come together to support each other in the name of young people. From rolling up sleeves to do programme delivery, to tracking down video clips and quotes, lining up judges for Dragons Dens, getting young people through their right to work checks and clapping away at graduations – it has been a super team effort.

I personally really enjoyed meeting the Hounslow Beyond Your Limits cohort on Monday, dancing away in my chair to young people DJ’ing at the big Smart Futures graduation, running around trying to find random objects for the Smart Futures CBI icebreaker, seeing some brilliant videos and presentations put together by young people in each graduation and seeing just how proud and chuffed employers have been with it all.

It's been exhausting - but we know it’s worth it. You only need to listen to one graduation to hear what great experiences the young people have had and the impact we’ve had on them all.

One of the best weeks I’ve had in my 7+ years at the EY Foundation and that is saying something; so thank you to everyone involved over programme delivery!
