Ready for a challenge? Join EY foundation and Charity Challenge for a trek to Petra!

Join us for an 8-day trip filled with adventure, involving over 75km of trekking, exploring historical sites and learning about the rich history of Petra!

The money you raise from your trek will support the EY Foundation's efforts to assist young people from low-income backgrounds by offering them paid employability skills training and work experience, mentoring, and alumni activities.

Trekkers will cover their own costs, ensuring that all sponsorship and Gift Aid funds are donated to EY Foundation.

Please note: applicants under the age of 18 will not be considered for this trek. 

When?

The challenge will take place from 25^th November till 2^nd December 2023.

Where?

Petra, Jordan. We will depart from the UK on 25^th November 2023 from Gatwick/Heathrow, London.

Itinerary:

Day 1 (Saturday 25^th November): UK to Amman

Day 2 (Sunday 26^th November): Amman citadel tour, Dead Sea and transfer to campsite

Day 3 (Monday 27^th November): Trek Wadi Feynan to Wadi Barwas (15km, approx. 6hrs)

Day 4 (Tuesday 28^th November): Trek Wadi Barwas to Ras El Feid (14km, approx. 8hrs)

Day 5 (Wednesday 29^th November): Trek Ras El Feid to Shkart Msei’d (16km, approx. 9hrs)

Day 6 (Thursday 30^th November): Trek Shkart Msei’d to Beidha 'Little Petra' (14km, approx. 6hs)

Day 7 (Friday 1^st December): Explore ‘Little Petra’, the Ad Deir Monastery & Classical Petra (16km, approx. 8hrs)

 Day 8 (2^nd December): Return to UK

How much do I need to raise?

Each participant must reach a £1500 minimum fundraising target.

Please note: this sum stays the same for each individual even when fundraising as part of a team.

Cost:

The cost of this challenge is £1,894, plus the fuel element of the air taxes (capped at £150). This includes a £350 non-refundable admin fee.

This cost includes flights, visas, accommodation, insurance, food, a tour guide and much more!
